Amazon shipping offers Amazon's logistic capabilities as a product and service. Amazon Shipping's first customers are sellers in the UK, offering to ship their domestic volume using our delivery network.

Amazon Shipping is looking to hire an experienced leader to join the Program and Operations team. You will be a natural self-starter who is comfortable supporting large, complex cross functional programs and will have a true hands-on approach, strong program management and analytical skills, and be an effective communicator.

This is a great opportunity to join an entrepreneurial business that is growing at an incredible pace. You will be part of the core team that will be managing the Amazon Shipping business and operations across all legs of the supply chain (first mile, middle mile and last mile). You will also be leading the development of our operational product to deliver a world class customer experience, and the design and implementation of new operating solutions to enable the delivery of strategic targets (service, growth, cost).

You will have a true hands-on approach, operational inclination, strong leadership skills and the ability to build and leverage relationships across a wide stakeholder group to generate creative solutions to industry level strategic problems. As this position involves regular interaction with senior leadership (Directors, VPs), you need to be comfortable communicating robustly at that level whilst also working directly with various functional teams and individuals at all levels of the organization across the Amazon business.

• Lead Speed initiatives for Amazon Shipping by partnering with planning, operations and business teams.
• Spearhead projects to increase in 1-day delivery (1DD) coverage.
• Work on moving away from lane-level promise management thus increasing the % of premium packages shipped through 1DD lanes, and subsequently improving GV speed.
• Lead implementation of 7-day operations/collections.
• Partner closely with the Middle Mile 2.0 lead and the Sales team to improve SFP cutoff times for nominated XL Shippers.
• Develop granular metrics to monitor and track speed for the Amazon Shipping business, along with bucket reports on where opportunities for improvements are.
• Act as the SME in Amazon Shipping Operations driving product development.


• Masters Degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics, Business or related fields
• Experience of working within logistics, transportation or parcels environment.
• 3+ years of experience in supply chain, performance management or program management.
• Customer focus and professional demeanor.
• Organizational skill and an operations mindset.
• An ability and interest in working in a fast-paced and rapidly-changing environment.
• A work ethic based on a strong desire to exceed expectations.
• Experience leading and interacting with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to travel in the EU.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Access, Tableau and SQL.


• Master's Degree in: Supply Chain Management or Operations Research.
• 5+ years' experience in supply chain, manufacturing, transportation and/or distribution environments.
• Experience of change management/growth environments.
• Expertise in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
