A new opportunity has emerged within our Resilience and Agility (R&A) Community to lead all aspects of the Community level strategic resource planning and people evolution.
As the Head of Resource Management and People Evolution you'll own the resource management, forecasting, capacity, capability and the overall workforce plan for the R&A Community to ensure the right workforce is in place to deliver the business strategy and contribute to the achievement of the overall Nationwide strategy and cornerstones.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Director of Business Operations you'll;Work in collaboration with experts from across the business to identify the Community's resource strategy and principles and identify and translate all sources of strategic demand for work in the Community and Society into a comprehensive forecast for people.
Manage stakeholder relationships up to and including Executive committee and Community leadership teams.Identify required strategic capability and capacity shortfalls/surpluses and drive down cost by enabling the right workforce capacity, capability and sourcing mix for the society, where possible prioritising permanent resources.Create and maintain the resource plan for the R&A Community, change squads and centres of excellence, leading actions to deliver the right capabilities and workforce mix to optimise performance (7.5k resources) and operational costs (+500m)
Be accountable for translating the top-down view of business strategy into the workforce capabilities and capacity required for success, against a bottom-up view of individual objectives and performance.
Lead on collating and analysing data to support strategic workforce planning and reporting, creating influential insights and making data driven recommendations.
Lead the strategic plan and execution of workforce transformation including insourcing and outsourcing relationships and chairing of reviews

As a minimum requirement you'll have:• Significant senior experience in both Resource Management, and People and Workforce Evolution• Considerable business sense and market knowledge, with demonstrable experience in enabling the delivery of analysis and insight which is commercially viable• Significant experience in making assessments and judgements based on the data available and adopting a common-sense approach• Expert experience of presenting complex ideas and data in a simple way to a diverse range of stakeholders which include Executive committee and senior leadership teams.• Demonstrable experience of adopting a holistic approach to analysis and insight and have an ability to spot opportunities and links across data and analysis
