Amazon is looking for a Luxembourg/Munich based business development Leader for the Amazon Freight team in Europe.

Amazon Freight allows Shippers to use Amazon's transportation network to transport products in bulk across Europe. This is an innovative technology driven solution for the shipping needs of small and large businesses and is scaling rapidly as an offering. Amazon Freight is a part of the Amazon Transportation Services organisation in Europe which is a cutting-edge supply chain technology organisation and responsible for many of Amazon's best-in-class logistics offerings.

This person will manage a large and rapidly growing team of Senior Account Managers responsible for onboarding Amazon Suppliers as Shippers onto the program. A successful candidate will be results driven, highly analytical and customer focused with a strong track record of delivering business growth. We are interested in candidates across a wide variety of industries including Blue Chip companies, innovative tech companies, top-tier consulting firms and leading supply chain organisations.

Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Hire, manage and mentor an Account Management team to enable rapid business growth. Ensure the team achieves its goals of onboarding new vendors and hitting freight volume targets while ensuring best in class customer experience
- Engage large Enterprise Shippers in contract and rate negotiations and help onboard them to the program
- Implement the required governance mechanism via KPI and metrics, along with ad hoc reporting and analytical deep-dives


- Master's degree in Business Administration or equivalent work experience
- Experience working with large cross-functional teams
- Excellent people management skills
- Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence stakeholders with different priorities and different functions including but not limited to technology, legal and finance
- Strong quantitative and qualitative problem-solving skills, being able to diagnose root cause of issues
- Entrepreneurial, self-sufficient and able to operate in a fluid, ambiguous environment
- Ability to communicate across all levels of management and excellent verbal and written skills in English (other European languages are a plus)


- Prior experience managing an account management team, owning a P&L or project management in relevant industries
- Experience working in supply chain or related industries or top-tier consulting experiences
- German/French language skills are a plus
