Come and join our team as Head of Departmental Consulting t o develop, plan and deliver the departmental consulting strategy for GB&I. Working closely with colleagues across the breadth of the business to develop new offerings in all relevant areas of Siemens Healthineers.
Purpose of the role:
Develop and form local and global partnerships with external organisations to continuously broaden the portfolio to ensure that we remain customer relevant. This should include work with the Enterprise Servcies Business Development team in developing solutions (Value Partnerships) in GB&I ensuring our consulting portfolio are leveraged to influence customer relationships
Main duties and responsibilities:
Contribute to the development, planning and implementation of GB&I, EMEA region and global departmental consulting strategy in response to the changing market environment development of the Siemens Healthineers portfolio. Develop clear and relevant strategic goals and solutions and lead an effective team to attain these goals.
Contribute to GB&I ES strategy through inclusion in the ES senior management team alongside Head of Business Development, Head of MES Operations, Head of Finance and Commercial and Head of Technical Solutions and Project Realisation.
Collaborative closely and jointly develop opportunities with the Transformational Consulting hub team
Represent GB&I on Global Consulting Strategic Leadership team, supporting solution development and contributing to the global consulting knowledge pool
To manage the GB&I Departmental Consulting team and wider Siemens Healthineers team members in driving opportunities and delivering innovative business. Provide leadership by communicating strategic goals, securing and managing appropriate resources and demonstrating leadership behaviours.
Ensure effective, optimised resource and talent planning through the Departmental Consulting team to ensure required resourcing levels are maintained and competencies are developed in order to fulfil business objectives. Deploy methods to drive continuous employee development and engagement.
Plan and project manage resources and outputs for all relevant customer engagements, taking the lead role in negotiations, contract development and project delivery.
Through close engagement with Legal, develop contractual documentation for all customer engagements and relevant new offerings
Collaborate with the Marketing, Sales and Communications function to position Siemens Healthineers as a market and thought leader in the area of Departmental and Transformational consulting. This should include representing Siemens Healthineers at events, as an expert speaker, and development of collateral such as white papers and case studies.
Develop and leverage relationships with key opinion leaders, advisors and customers (at every level).
Develop key local and global strategic relationships with external organisations to support the delivery of relevant customer commitments. This should include responsibility for adhering to internal quality processes in relation to working with external Business Partners and suppliers.
Maintain the consistent delivery of high quality, internally and externally compliant Departmental Consulting proposals through close alignment with legal, financial/commercial and other Siemens Healthineers departments
Ensure that opportunity specific risks and respective contracts are analysed and mitigated. They must be well communicated to all stakeholders and priced accordingly. This should be through leveraging and managing the Business Governance and approval processes
Accountability for Departmental Consulting financial commitments (orders, revenue, gross profit) with consistent / continual achievement of budgeted and forecasted financial results.
To conduct monthly business reviews in liaison with the Head of Enterprise Services and the Head of Finance and Commercial.
To support opportunities and projects across the EMEA region and globally, as required.
To ensure that all Siemens procedures and policies are always adhered to
Maintain a broad knowledge of national and international healthcare (subject matter expert) to identify future trends and to assess potential opportunities for both business development and partnership
Develop relationships with NHS and Healthcare influencers, including UK Dept. of Health, NHS England/Improvement, UK Royal Colleges and relevant healthcare advisors e.g. Kings Fund
To understand and assess the opportunities of the changing dynamics of healthcare within the UK and Europe including the development of integrated care organisations, the movement of services from hospital to community provision and the growing importance of digital health and population health on care provision.
Any other responsibility that is reasonably required.
A first-hand understanding of the NHS (ideally at a radiology or Divisional management level), its issues and its culture and a demonstrable experience in successful partnering with hospital management and staff.
In-depth knowledge and experience of Siemens Healthineers pruducts and its interaction with the NHS in all respects.
Evidence of continuing professional development in healthcare management evidenced by a Masters Level Qualification in a relevant subject area and/or equivalent healthcare operational leadership experience
Demonstrable expert understanding of clinical practices and processes
Proven experience of effecting a strategy of change management across organisational boundaries
Demonstrable experience in leading and managing teams in a complex, multi-agency context with a proven record of positive staff relationships and satisfaction. Clear understanding of the benefits of delegation of responsibility, identification of 'single points of failure' and succession planning in liaison with HR Partners.
Must be able to work with people of diverse professional and cultural backgrounds.
