Location: Sheffield / London / Hybrid homeworking

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week/flexible days and/or hours (Mon-Fri)

Salary: Up to £75,000 per annum depending on experience and location

Reporting into Change Director, you will lead the business analysis team consisting of 5 plus Interim support across our locations in Sheffield and London. You will lead business analysis across our change initiatives, working as part of a larger projects team made up of Project Managers, Programme Managers, Business Readiness and Operations as we support the British Business Bank and its change programmes.

In this leadership role, a core element will be to utilise experience to build and develop an effective 'Centre of Excellence' (CoE) for Business Analysis. Leading the team, create a high performing and efficient function through process optimisation, development and upskilling the team.

Engaging with key stakeholders at all levels. Working collaboratively with Executive and Senior Leadership teams as well as wider functions to align with strategic objectives including the prioritised in-plan projects and programmes. Creating, maintaining, and contributing to reporting on key performance indicators such as scope and quality measure as well as driving continuous improvement of the function by reporting on key progress to the Change Director

You will be an expert practitioner in business analysis, leading the business analysis team and activities within the Change function.

You will coach and lead the business analysis team, determining the right approach for the team to take and evaluating this through the life of a project. Act as a recognised expert, continuously reflecting and challenging the team and creating an environment for success.

Setting the methods and standards for eliciting requirements, defining standards and quality targets whilst managing multiple stakeholder perspectives and expectations, will be one of your key responsibilities, along with identifying business problems/opportunities and defining the most suitable approach to ensure that recommendations fit with strategic business objectives.

You will create a compelling case for change with a detailed business case, developing a consistent approach to business case development and tracking, lead on the initiation and scoping of new projects, and ensure user needs are understood and met by the team, applying strategic thinking in how to provide the best service for the end user.

Additionally, you will provide business process design and documentation expertise, recommend business process and/or system improvements using formal and informal techniques. Lead the development and implementation of these improvements / new processes and provide guidance and feedback on how to improve the quality of the business analysis team and ensure that changes implemented result in a positive customer outcome.

It is essential that you are an expert all round practitioner in the business analysis discipline within a Change function, with experience of both technical and non-technical projects

You will have experience of developing a team of Business Analysts working across different areas such as resource management, succession planning and personal development, and experience of working in an Agile environment - financial services or public sector background is preferred.

You will be an expert in business modelling and business process engineering, have substantial experience of requirements elicitation, initiating and scoping new projects and have experience of managing and developing a multi-disciplinary business analysis team.
