Job description

Data is a key asset for Experian and Data Governance is an integrated part of the First Line of Defence (1LOD) to support the B2B Managing Directors, who run and manage their business in a safe and protected manner.

Data Governance covers the standards and principles of data management. Data Standards and principles are building blocks of good data governance, however data governance relies on an analysis of true ownership and usage of data to facilitate the production of meaningful management information.

Your role will be responsible for performing risk based assurance across our Data Office in line with the Monitoring and Assurance plan, ensuring that the work covers areas of highest vulnerability risk and areas which have the potential to cause consumer detriment.

You will have:

  • A Bachelor's or higher level degree in a Data or Analytics related subject
  • Superior written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Strong strategic, investigative and analytical skills - inquiry, analysis, interviewing and testing
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a track record for completing work in a timely and organised fashion
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A pragmatic approach with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on subjective information
  • Ability to understand and interpret various laws, regulations and policies
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to influence others
  • Proven experience working with Excel and developing and maintaining various analyses and reporting tools
  • An understanding of working in a regulated environment would be desirable
