Job description

We are looking for an Expert Reinsurance Specialist (m/w/d) to join the CFO Reinsurance Treaty Team - at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) in Munich.

As an Expert Reinsurance Specialist, you will carry out new ways of managing and coordinating the reinsurance purchasing within AGCS. You will be the reinsurance liaison for the line of business and accompany them through the renewal process. You will support the development of metrics and processes that allow an evaluation of each treaty which is placed by AGCS. You will be reporting to the Head of Reinsurance Corporate and Specialty Lines.

In this role you will…
•Conduct regular meetings with the liaisons of the lines of business Liability and Financial Lines to discuss open topics and next steps during the whole year
•Support coordination and attend regular meetings with Reinsurers and the Broker to discuss open topics and next steps during the whole year.
•Complete correspondence with the external partners (RI and Broker) on all topics i.r.o. the responsible LoB. (Treaty, Cash Flow, Claims, etc.)
•Collect all relevant information to prepare the Renewal submission for the renewal from various departments (CUO, Claims, Planning...). Prepare Renewal Submission (GTPL, FL)
•Prepare and take care of the treaty master list / database
•Ensure correct set up and update of Overview Sheets. Double check and monitor system entries (Global Genius) completed by Reinsurance Assistant. Regular update about status of Renewal to the Global Head of Reinsurance. Regular participation in Quarterly Claims Reserve meeting for Engineering, Financial Lines and Property (because of CAT-Claims)

•University degree in Mathematics, Finance, Business administration, Law or another area that involves a strong focus on quantitative analysis
•Ideally relevant professional insurance qualification
•7-10 years of significant experience in an Reinsurance position, with deep understanding of reinsurance practice
•Expert knowledge of reinsurance instruments, underlying business and Actuarial/Risk Capital requirements
•Technical and practical background in one industrial insurance Line of Business (LoB), general understanding of all major LoBs and a robust understanding of actuarial principles and practices
•Proven experience of working in an international environment
•Advanced contract drafting and interpretation skills
•Ability to manage the Reinsurance portfolio,; analyze trends and scenario plans
•Ability to analyze current performance against various benchmarks with a view to ensure adequate progress and satisfactory performance
•Risk Reward, Underwriting and Actuarial: Ability to evaluate risk reward effects of reinsurance, e.g. impact on P&L and capital position of company
•Very good communication and presentation skills with an ability to positively influence key strategic stakeholders
•Good analytical skills
•Fluency in English
