Environment Manager An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in our established test team and state of the art offices to manage the support of Non-Production Environments and the release of software packages into these Environments.

Key Responsibilities and Scope of role:
To assess the requirements for all technical environments that are required to enable successful testing of infrastructure, applications and systems on specified projects.
To secure the continuous provisioning, maintaining and integrity of all fully functional test environments as required for specified projects.
To ensure best practice test deployment and corresponding configuration management protocols are deployed within specified projects including adequate resourcing of appropriately skilled and experienced technical experts.
To manage test data provisioning and suitability in conjunction with the environment owners.
To ensure the security of access and support to maintain the integrity of the environments throughout the testing and release process.
To support successful testing and validation of infrastructure, applications and systems.

Advise on the risk-based options for technical environment provisioning and management for specified projects.
Secure the required technical environments, data and resources for successfully managing those environments throughout test planning, test preparation, test execution, Production deployment/migration and Project warranty stages.
Manage technical experts and specialist resources required to support the delivery of change configuration and environment analysis and control. Where appropriate, work with existing colleagues and external suppliers to provide the same.
Provide co-ordination, planning and reporting of activity across the estate between the various stakeholders, (Testers, Support Teams, Deployment Teams, Service Assurance, PMs and Senior Management).
Maintain and escalate issues, risks and dependencies in ample time for remediation as required.
Oversee environment management options assessments and provisioning/configuration/technical deployment/data migration decisions, delegated through to appropriate specialist or technical expertise resources as required.
Maintain detailed records of the infrastructure, functionality and capability of each environment and its appropriate use.
Maintain up to date Environment Management expertise and deliver best practice Environment Management service across the infrastructure, applications and systems affected by specified projects.
Proactively seek opportunities to drive continuous improvement. Seek to enhance the delivery process to drive efficiencies and benefit from lessons learnt.
Form a strong and productive relationship with Solutions Delivery and 3rd party portfolio and project managers. Be pro-active in maintaining excellent communication across the project teams and with key stakeholders.
Maintain continuous dialogue with Service Management owners to enable those requirements for service availability to be agreed and constantly met.

Qualifications required: Prince II required ITIL Foundation & key intermediate qualifications desired
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Demonstrable experience of successful Release/Deployment Management in a technically demanding environment, preferably acquired within the Financial Services sector.
Demonstrable experience of successful Environment or Technical Project Management in a technically demanding environment.
Strong knowledge of the IT delivery lifecycle, associated methodologies and their practical application.
Experience of working closely with 3rd party suppliers.
Compelling experience in Stakeholder Management.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Strong, concise and effective communication, influencing and presentation skills.
Knowledge/Experience of Financial Services preferred.
