Come and join our team Electrical Design Engineer.
You will be as part of thededicated Point of Care (POC) Sustaining Engineering (SEN) R&D team. SEN is responsible for coordinatingsustaining activities for all POC in vitro diagnostics (IVD) instruments,consumables and accompanying eco-system products.
You will work closely with Manufacturing, Qualityand Service to coordinate platform enhancements, implement cost reductionprojects, drive corrective actions in response to field issues, respond to newregulatory requirements and mitigate manufacturing supply risk andmanufacturing quality issues for our blood gas and urinalysis productlines.
You will also be responsible for providingelectrical support to SEN. Daily activitieswill include investigating hardware complaints, researching and implementingalternative instrument components and designs, identifying lower costsolutions, developing project schedules, defining V&V plans and ensuring ontime execution of plans.

Your qualifications and experience:
B.Eng or M.Eng degree in Electrical Engineering,with significant experience in electronics development for instrumentation
Good understanding of basic multidisciplinaryengineering fundamentals and experience working with multi-disciplinary teams
Hands-on experience with analog and digital design,board layout and qualification, programmable logic and control systemdevelopment, especially for electromechanical devices.
Medical device experience or experience in a regulatedenvironment is a plus.
The ability to function well both independently andas part of an integrated team.
Effective verbal and written communication skillsare essential.
Experience with OrCAD, Mentor Graphics PADS, MentorGraphics Expedition, Microsoft Office or equivalent programs is necessary
Experience with stepper motor controls, LabVIEW andMinitab is a plus
