As cloud migration, software defined networking , and the emergence of digital-first competitors continue to transform the global communication market, evolving Colt's core strategy to win in the disrupted landscape is vital. Colt's new strategy will allow us to deliver new and exciting business models, best of class customer experiences, and drive how communication services are purchased and consumed.

As Director of Business Insights you will have the high-visibility opportunity to create more data driven organization and lead a team chartered with driving the business insights strategy that further enable our broader business needs and increased competitiveness. You will be responsible for curating and creating insights from external and internal data sources to inform key business decisions that unlock the potential of Colt's strategy. This will include diagnostic and predictive analytics and insight generation. Working closely with the VP Straetgy , Planning and Insights, you and your team will be responsible for developing a set of clear and data driven recommendations for and in collaboration with Colt's functions that will enable Colt to successfully develop and execute the strategy as part of the annual strategy & planning cycle.

  • Own the business insights strategy, including the insights needed to drive key decisions in the business and alignment of methodology to derive data driven recommendations .
  • Develop and own a standard set of insight reports, with recommendations and options for the Colt Board and Leadership team .
  • Lead and/or curate analysis from internal and external data sources to maintain a risks & opportunities framework for Colt, forming a key input for the Strategy team .
  • Lead data driven problem solving for specific business challenges as they arise .
  • Partner with functions across the business to develop more data driven operations .
  • Lead executive level communications and alignment meeting cadences.
  • Coach team members on analytics and insights based on developing an in-depth understanding of underlying business needs and strategies.
  • Attract, retain, and grow your team as a manager and support a diverse and inclusive team culture.


The ideal candidate will be a highly self-directed and self-driven strategic thinker, with excellent leadership and collaboration skills and a track record of delivering exceptional results while working with a diverse set of stakeholders across organizations to deliver complex projects and proactively anticipating and addressing issues.
  • 10+ relevant experience including managing high performing data science and analytics teams .
  • Expertise in analytical frameworks and AI/ML methodology and tools .
  • Experience in the communications and technology sector .
  • Experience and passion for coaching, mentoring, and guiding teams.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to learn, understand, and connect complex business models quickly.
  • Experience engaging with engineering stakeholders to gain credibility and partnership quickly.
  • Structured approach to problem-solving and strong project management skills with detail orientation.
  • Strong communication skills, proven executive presence, and ability to influence at senior levels.
  • MBA and/or advanced degree in analytics preferred
