Salary: 40,000 + substantial pension and benefits GBP

The Challenge
DIO Regional Deliver (RD) Total Facilities Management (TFM) Central Region, manages the delivery of DIO contracted hard and soft facilities management and key relationship management with senior users, key suppliers and other elements of DIO Operations, in particular the Regional Support Team (RST) and Major Programmes and Projects (MPP) to deliver DIO outputs that support military capability. It also includes close working with other areas of Regional Delivery, in particular the Training Estate and service Accommodation.

As DIO continues to develop as an organisation we are currently considering how best to transform the business to enable us to better focus on delivering efficient services to our customer and to make DIO a great organisation to work for.

Main Responsibilities
As a member of the Regional Technical team you will be embedded in the Northern Area Delvery Team, based at Catterick Garrison.

You will be responsible for progressing in a collaborative manner construction projects with new FDIS Industry Partner, Vivo. Works may be new build, refurbishments of existing assets or minor Infra work to the value of circa 4M in support of military capability. You will have responsibility ensuring progress is manitained throughout the procurement process and through delivery.

You will be required to provide specialist M&E technical advice and guidance to the sub-regional Infrastructure Manager and front line infrastructure staff working on military establishments with the Area.

You will be engaging with industry in an agile & collaborative environment with the key objectives of;

getting to the correct technical solution,
maintaining the estate statutory compliant
advising on value for money of minor works prices,
assurance of delivery of allocated projects.

Other duties include;
Engaging on customer engagement forums on functional issue affecting the MoD Estate,
Liasing with other function SMEs to ensure correct product delivery.
Providing collegues with professional Technical advice.
Maintaining currency through CDP and Industry knowledge.

Desirable Experience & Skills
Membership of an appropriate engineering institution with Engineering council recognition such as MIET, CIBSE, CABE, IMechE etc.
Degree/HND/HNC in Mechanical or Electrical or Building Services Engineering

Employment hours
The post advertised is for 37 hours net, however the Ministry of Defence offers a range of flexibilities to enable a better work-life balance for employees. Flexible working, Part-Time working and Job Share working patterns will be considered.

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) is the estate expert for Defence, supporting the armed forces to enable military capability by planning, building, maintaining, and servicing infrastructure.

Our responsibilities include:
Plan and deliver major capital projects and lifecycle refurbishment
Provide utilities services
Manage soft facilities management (i.e. cleaning and catering)
