The Challenge The Delivery Manager is part of the CIO Standard Change Team within the Customer Support Services pillar and will be a customer focal point, leading all aspects of the delivery and provision of IT assets & Peripherals across DIO and MOD Estates where DIO Support, along with assisting in remedial fault resolution with IT and telephony assets.
There is a recognised large demand that exceeds the current capabilities of CIO Standard Change Team to deliver a provision of support and digital technology services for DIO and its industry partners. This includes the delivering hardware and software via the Defence Digital Catalogue services to end users across the DIO footprint UK and Overseas. The appointment of Delivery Manager will enhance resource to improve customer service.
As a Delivery Manager within the Standard Change Team of the CIO you will have the skills, knowledge and autonomy to help shape the CIOs approach to Digital Delivery within a focused Information Technology environment; this will be supported by a in house training to develop and improve abilities and knowledge.
You will have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of customers within DIO, suppliers and the wider MOD. The role requires a high standard of communication, problem solving, technical knowledge and skills and the ability to actively engage and communicate with a broad range of customers, partners and team members.
Please note that due to the nature of the role applicants will be required to work on site with some potential opportunities to work from home depending on business needs & requirements.

ResponsibilitiesMain Responsibilities Handle catalogue provisions through the application of agile and lean management of the team to deliver all standard hardware and software requests in line with processes. Ensuring the team accurately assemble customer requirements, communicating optimally and manage customer expectations.
Focal point for Mobile ways of working and user queries. Providing leadership and support for the rollout and steady state use of smartphones, iPads and laptops
Provision of service assurance through regular engagement with providers Defence Digital, and BT representatives to resolve delivery/performance issues. Raise issues through the appropriate channels. Engaging in regular service review discussions and agreement of resolution options
Contribute to define, and where required deliver, IT solutions for non-standard catalogue requirements, ensuring solutions meet the business need to meet MOD and TLB policy remit
Local Security Officer (LSO) and Authorised Demander (AD, assuring catalogue requests to ensure VFM within an acceptable risk factor, authorise and approve requests made for service provided by Defence Digital Service Catalogue
Conduct monthly assurance checks and Asset audits.
Provision of guidance and assurance on the use of the BCM Remedy Assistant management tool including - recording and updating assets and user details, creation of work requests and assigning to the team, monitoring workflow and auditing data sets. Control and management of ICT asset returns from users
