DIO currently have an exciting opportunity for an Admin Officer to work within the Admin Hub at Sutton Coldfield. The jobholder will provide administrative support and will be responsible for looking after administrative and Building Custodian needs for the site.

Applicants should be aware that as part of the Defence Estates Optimisation Programme it is anticipated that the DIO Sutton Coldfield site will close and all staff will be relocated to Defence Medical Services (Whittington) near Lichfield as the preferred new site option. This relocation is currently expected to occur in the Spring of 2021.ResponsibilitiesMain Responsibilities
This is a re-active post and the job holder will be required to support administrative services, such as;
- Stationary ordering
- Escorting visitors on site
- The hire of cars and collation of fuel receipts
- Inputting and managing data.
This job role is mainly customer facing with a very wide customer base which demands an ability to frequently re-prioritise workload.The job holder will also be required to have the ability to work as part of a team and also to work independently, have excellent customer service skills and flexible approach to task management, whilst having good communication skills and an ability to deliver at pace. During theupcoming move to Lichfield they may be asked to provide support to the Building Custodian role.

The post advertised is for 37 hours net, however the Ministry of Defence offers a range of flexibilities to enable a better work-life balance for employees. Flexible working patterns will be considered.
