The Digital Communications Adviser will be part of a team providing strategic and tactical communications support to a portfolio of internal business areas and clients to agreed plans - working to the Senior Digital Communications Manager.
They will be responsible for providing digital communications support and advice to internal clients at all levels helping them engage internal audiences. The role holder will draft, agree, deliver and evaluate digital communication strategies, plans and campaigns across a range of channels.
They will deliver digital communications across all online channels, including our new digital workplace, screens, social apps, video, and podcasting.
This role is about 'getting things done'. It requires a great online content manager who is passionate about our airport. Principal Accountabilities Excellent online and verbal communication skills:
Develops timely online communications that are delivered in an engaging way, using creative techniques with engagement and marketing principles.
provides templates, communication processes, access to channels, drafting and writing, editing / proofing support, research and evaluation, and brand guidance. Strategic and local overview and planning:
understand and provide the existing Heathrow strategic context, the way the
local business works and its priorities to help co-ordinate and integrate content management at a local and airport-wide level.Digital campaign development:
works with clients across the business on internal campaigns using marketing, change management and employee engagement principles.Digital channel expertise:
expert in the use of Heathrow digital channels. Communication planning:
contribute to the planning and work of the Communication Department and do
what's needed to achieve the department's priorities and objectives.Crisis incident response:
Join the on-call roster for disruption and crisis management. Qualifications & Experience
- Proficient in use of SharePoint Online (The HUB+), News-weaver (emails) and other digital content management systems
- Great online journalist and good tactical delivery to a high standard able to create engaging content - not just factual.
- Expert in the use of Microsoft Office 365 and demonstrated sound use of photo editing
software and video / audio production.
- Understanding and demonstrated application of communication and engagement principles to form successful communications.
- Demonstrated expertise in using an integrated channel approach to achieve reach and engagement (including active feedback).
- Experience and understanding of the digital landscape, including online content creation, multi-media and social media.
