We are looking for an exceptional individual to join our dementia support team. You will need to possess an NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and have a good understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers. An ability to assess the service users' needs along with an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and data protection is essential.
To be successful in this role you will have excellent communication skills and an understanding of a person centred approach. You should have relevant experience of record keeping and report writing. The role involves regular use of IT packages; therefore a good standard of IT would be desirable.
You will be responsible for your own caseload therefore the ability to manage your own time effectively is essential. Your caseload will be varied so we are looking for someone with the right mix of enthusiasm, resilience, professionalism and flexibility who is able and willing to work in a variety of settings.
Experience of working with volunteers is desirable. The post will involve working in people's homes and in a range of community settings; therefore a DBS disclosure will be required.
