The Contract and Commercial Manager will be responsible for the management of strategic IT suppliers during the Value Management, Assurance and Feedback stages of the IT Procurement Lifecycle. The Contract and Commercial Manager will control the mechanics necessary to manage strategic supplier contracts, to ensure the supplier's compliance with contractual obligations, to ensure the long-term sustainability of agreements and to control agreement leakage to maximise QBE's value from the contracts.
Your responsibilities for this role may include, but are not limited to:
Identify, manage and mitigate sourcing risks in all contractual arrangements, to comply to all internal or regulatory requirements and policies
Support the resolution of supplier performance deficiencies or issues to ensure operational levels are maintained
Monitor and report the operational and commercial performance of supplier agreements and the overall relationship between QBE and the supplier
Actively develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic service suppliers, senior executives, colleagues and peers across the group to achieve exceptional levels of quality and service
Engaging with strategic suppliers and internal customers to commercially manage major outsourcing or offshoring contracts
You will need to be able to display you have the following qualifications and experience:
Experience of contract interpretation and ongoing delivery of contractual obligations
Experience of managing external suppliers in the technology sector
Specialist sourcing knowledge including specific product/ service provision knowledge
Proven record of delivering supply chain cost reduction
Expert knowledge of Technology procurement and contract negotiation
