The Continuous Improvement Specialist (CIS), LGRI, will manage a series of initiatives and improvement activities to help implement against the target operating model, processes, tools and metrics across the Business Technology & Transformation (BT&T) function. This will include supporting our customers and transformation colleagues in adopting agile as a delivery methodology to support our transformation ambition to provide customers for a first class delivery service.
The CIS will support LGRI and LGRR (through cross-divisional initiatives) to facilitate and design consistent operational improvements aligned to the strategy, to evolve methodologies, processes, tools and ensure value and targets are clear and identified in all activities in the operating model for effective operations.
Manage and deliver the implementation of the target operating model, processes, tools and metrics across the BT&T function
Responsible for coaching and mentoring team members on agile values, principles and practices including up to the leadership team.
Champion and embody the Lean-Agile core values and promote their usage across the organisation acting as an Agile change agent both internally and externally to play a pivotal role in the evolution and maturity of the Agile methodology, gaining maximum alignment to business priorities
Manage a series of initiatives that will effectively implement strategy, evolve methodologies, processes, tools and ensure value and targets are clear. Ensure that baselines are captured, targets are set and a portfolio of activity identified, shaped, managed and tracked to deliver to the objectives of the BT&T organisation
Act as a role model and advocate of continuous improvement methods and develop talent and capabilities to support a development path for team members to support the BT&T organisation.
Collaborate across the wider LGRI and other areas on best practice for Continuous improvement and leverage ideas and approaches to implement initiatives effectively and to foster a change network (Hub) that leverages skills across BT&T to deliver effective change.
Prepare and deliver materials to ensure effective implementation of change across the organisation and to actively encourage agile mind-set implementation
Degree and/or MBA educated- desirable but not essential or demonstrable equivalent role experience and capability at this level
Agile Methodology - desirable not mandatory
Prince 2 Qualification APM or equivalent - desirable not mandatory
PROSCI - desirable but not mandatory
Leam Six Sigma - desirable but not mandatory
ADKAR - mandatory (or similar change management methodology)
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Regulated Industry background preference
Change/Transformation management disciplines with track record of delivery of cultural change and transformation expertise
Lean Sigma process experience and capabilities across complex geographical / functional matrix organization.
Proven track record of delivering large, complex, multi supplier change initiatives with technology appreciation and awareness with track record of building effective relationships in complex environments
Developing organisational capability (people, processes, technology, knowledge) with proven background in adapting to trends and openness to new ideas
A good understanding of applying agile values and principles as well as traditional delivery methods and
Experience in applying Scrum practices either as a scrum master or as part of an agile team.
Experience in coaching and mentoring team members and product owners
An understanding of automated testing frameworks and techniques
Communicating and inspiring confidence across all levels with technical and non-technical audiences and effective at making good decisions and delivering great outcomes in in line with BT&T strategy
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work independently but also to lead teams and a portfolio of change initiatives focusing on priorities to manage a high-volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions
Collaborative worker who freely shares their knowledge and experience with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to successfully engage and influence a broad range of individuals across various internal and external businesses and support functions
Develop, get buy-in and deliver approaches across the organisation and wider division and track record of building effective relationships in complex environments
