Job description

Do you have an eye for a good story? Can you turn complex information into compelling storylines that get people talking, sharing and acting? If so, WWF is looking for you.

WWF, the world's leading independent conservation organisation, is looking for a Content Research Executive to help develop cutting-edge communications that engage the nation in our causes around the world, attract new supporters, and build a movement to accelerate the action urgently needed to actively restore our natural world.

Reporting to the Commissioning Editor, you will be responsible for researching and developing inspiring WWF stories, and collating and curating compelling content to help reach and engage policy, business, media, public and fundraising audiences. You will also ensure all information and content is technically accurate, credible, consistent, and on-brand.

Content Research Executive – Requirements

  • You will have a proven track record in researching and developing engaging stories for a variety of audiences, platforms and channels.
  • You are able to turn technical or complex information into a storyline appealing to a mass audience.
  • You have a strong appreciation of what makes compelling visual content.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail, ensuring all information and content is technically accurate, credible, consistent, on brand and based on the most up-to-date and well researched science.
  • You are able to work at pace, pragmatically and adapt to changing circumstances, working well with others across WWF and externally.
  • You will have a passion for the conservation of our natural world.

Who are we?

WWF believes in a future where people and nature thrive.

Best known as the world’s leading conservation body, we’ve seen first-hand how wildlife, the environment and human activity are all interlinked.

That’s why our passion for safeguarding the natural world has to be backed up by other environmental action – tackling the global threat of climate change (through our big global campaigns like Earth Hour) and helping people to change the way they live to ease pressure on natural resources.

WWF is at the heart of global activities in all these areas. We have teams of highly skilled professionals working with governments, businesses and communities here in the UK and around the world.

Please visit our website via the link and complete the online registration and submit a copy of your up to date CV with a supporting statement highlighting why you are interested in this role and why you believe you are suited for the role.

Every role at WWF is open to applications from all sections of society. We believe in the potential of everyone regardless of; sex, race, religion or belief, ethnic origin, different physical ability, family structure, socio-economics, age, nationality or citizenship, marital, domestic or civil partnership, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other aspect that makes you, well you. Here at WWF we’re committed to conscious inclusion that helps cultivate an ethos of belonging, connection and shared purpose. We believe that the more diverse we are the better we become; this brings us together and empowers us to develop, engage and inspire; and critically to help build a future where people can live in harmony with nature.

Our policies and benefits reflect the importance of people being able to have a good work-life balance and being able to bring their ‘full self’ to work.

Our world needs you like never before. We are the first generation to know we are destroying the world and we could be the last that can do anything about it. We’re looking for people who are passionate about making it politically, socially and economically unacceptable to destroy our planet’s natural resources. We need you to join us in the fight for our world.
