We're currently looking for a Commercial Manager/Specialist to join our Commercial Management team. Please note we are flexible on location - our offices are in Nottingham and London and flexible working options will also be considered.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with commercial/contract management skills to gain experience and broaden their career within a FTSE 50, market leading organisation.
You'll be providing commercial and contractual support to our sales functions within the UK and Ireland. You'll ensure that each commercial transaction drives revenue and maximises business benefit whilst minimising risk, and will ensure all sales are contracted and secured in accordance with our standard policies and processes. You'll be responsible for ensuring risks, liabilities and commitments of contractual agreements are identified and mitigated and that contracts balance risk with appropriate profitability. You'll work with a wide range of stakeholders (i.e sales, account management, pricing) to ensure cohesive commercial strategies, whilst reviewing and structuring deals in a way that is commercially and contractually sound.
You'll also contribute to the commercial strategic vision and activity across our business, playing a key part in developing and implementing appropriate business and commercial solutions to match the fast pace and dynamic nature of our business.
Could this role be for you? We're looking for someone who has experience in a commercial/contract role with strong negotiation skills. An understanding of key contractual issues is essential, and a knowledge/understanding of licensing (i.e for data or software) or a background in the service industry would be advantageous. Ideally you'll have a legal background (i.e degree or formal qualification), but all backgrounds will be considered.
You'll succeed in this role by demonstrating excellent communication skills with an ability to work to your own initiative and challenge stakeholders. It's important that you can work as part of a team and bring your ideas to the table!
