Job description

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE
An insurance claim is the defining moment for our service; it is the moment when we deliver on our promise. At AGCS, we are committed to delivering superior claims experience to all our customers. This newly created role will handle both AGCS Liability cases and Alternative Risk Transfer (ART LoB) claims management for business written by AGCS UK.

Based in our London office, you will report to the Liability Claims Team Leader and deliver effective and efficient Liability Claims Handling support. In addition, in close collaboration with the worldwide ART LoB team, you will centralize the management, control and auditing of ART LoB loss adjustment and claims handling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will take on the following tasks, working closely with other functional areas in the Claims handling process, such as Underwriting and Operations, as well as with AGCS & ART LoB colleagues around the world:

Liability claims handling
•Handle standard and complex claims: employer liability, public and products liability
•Input and maintain accurate claims records (e.g. reserves, payments) for designated accounts
•Process standard indemnity and expense payments
•Prepare case for settlement of claims through payment or denial
•Produce management information reports (e.g. monthly major claims movements)
•Prepare referral documentation and materials as appropriate
•Report loss information internally and externally
•Maintain the Claims Portal and administer claims via this system

Alternative Risk Transfer (ART Lob)
•Coordinate and manage our loss adjuster partners for ART LoB claims related to AGCS UK
•Manage the delegated authorities
•Monitor and run regular audits on GPAs
•Become the key point of contact to centralize cases for the ART LoB team, which is based in Liechtenstein , Switzerland, London, Munich, New York & Bermuda


KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
•3 to 6 years’ professional experience in dealing with liability claims
•Preferably a degree in Law, or other appropriate discipline
•Ideally you have a professional insurance qualification, or are working towards it
•At ease in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
•Good understanding of legal and regulatory framework, processes and procedures, litigation management and avoidance techniques
•Knowledge of reserving principles and practices; robust understanding of coinsurance, reinsurance and risk transfer
•Highly organized, able to prioritize and work to deadlines
•Positive team spirit and excellent relational skills, at ease handling remote relationships
