Homes England is the Government's housing accelerator, with the appetite, influence, expertise and resources to drive positive market change and meet the Government's ambition to deliver 300,000 new homes a year. We are using our land, money, powers and influence to increase the pace, scale and quality of new homes - accelerating delivery in areas of greatest demand and helping create great places to live. Within the next few years, we will have invested over £27 billion across our programmes.
To deliver against these aims aims we're building a different kind of public service and the CFO will be critically important in making this happen. It is a hugely challenging strategic leadership role and one of the biggest financial jobs in the housing industry. You will need commercial credibility, outstanding strategic decision making skills and the ability to lead high performing teams.
The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will be responsible for managing the agency's net programme budget of c£6.5 billion per year, including admin expenditure of £120M. The CFO will also carry significant personal accountability for the systems that underpin the £30 billion balance sheet as well as the conduct and other risks around programmes such as Help To Buy where the agency acts as a mortgage lender.
