We are a global law firm and are looking to recruit a junior - mid-level Chartered Trade Mark Attorney to join our Newcastle or London office to support our busy London-based practice .
You will be involved in the full cycle of brand protection, providing strategic advice, creation and responsible for clearance searches, filing, prosecution, oppositions, revocations and invalidity proceedings. The team also handles design registrations, provides corporate support on transactions and supports our IP disputes team. The firm prides itself in offering a first class service to their clients and you will assist in establishing, developing and maintaining these relationships.
We are looking for someone who is bright, lively, with excellent organisational and communication skills as you will be involved in a full and varied workload and will be advising and reporting to clients directly.
Overview of Skills and Experience Required
Experience in handling international brand portfolios for client in different sectors
Ability to provide strategic advice on brand protection (trade marks and designs)
Experience in conducting availability searches and assessing the results for reporting
Prosecuting applications through to registration, handling objections, oppositions and IPO proceedings
Handling the preparation of legal submissions and arguments
Organising the collation and presentation of evidence of use
Handling large, multi-national recordal projects
Handling due diligence exercises
