We are looking to hire an experienced Change & Transformation Manager to join our People Team Function on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract / Secondment basis. The jobholder will be responsible for the effective planning, project managing the demand into the People team and ensuring the efficient and effective communication and delivery of the People Plan priorities. This is a critical role, planning, co-ordinating and overseeing the successful delivery of all our People Plan initiatives. The role, sitting on the People Leadership Team (PLT), works closely with all areas of the People Function, supporting our Chief People Officer (CPO) with key PLC Board and EXCO updates and networks across the wider business.

As part of this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Proactively planning and co-ordinating all People Plan initiatives
  • Reviewing and challenging People Team project plans to ensure they are all delivered in a timely, effective and efficient way
  • Ensuring all projects have a clear plan with agreed resource requirements and high level milestones/stage gates and support driving any routes back to green where required
  • Keeping our CPO and PLT updated on progress against plan and proactivity flagging forthcoming activity
  • Maintaining the People team heat map and People plan and share insights, identify risk and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Working closely with the PLT to ensure risks are flagged and resource bottlenecks are mitigated
  • Gathering insight and information to support the CPO and PLT's People updates to EXCO and PLC Board
  • Delivering the rhythm of PLT and All Hands People team meetings with timely and meaningful agendas and content to drive decision making, information sharing and team engagement
  • Supporting budget planning and budget management process


You will need:

  • Degree from a reputable university
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, can work to deadlines and under pressure without compromising on quality
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship building skills with the ability to influence and advise at all levels of the business
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), strong meeting facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong numerical and problem solving skills
  • Management Consulting experience and knowledge of HR (highly desirable)
