Job description

In a nutshell

Our Finance Business Partnering team here at Virgin Holidays is small and inclusive and looks after all areas of the business such as Sales, Marketing, Customer, Specialist Businesses, Business Support, Purchasing, Commercial, Capex, and Strategy.

You will provide financial analysis, support, challenge and effective communication in order to aid decision making, monitor performance, set budgets and targets and help shape future strategy within the business.

Whilst you will have an area of responsibility, you will get the opportunity to rotate with other Finance Business Partners to gain wider exposure and experience.


Day to day

Financial Management

Managing the production of the regular reporting and analysis at critical points, e.g. Month End, Budget. Offering detailed insight into the forecast showing risks and opportunities and driving cost savings and tracking these to ensure that progress is integrated into the forecast.

Developing improved reporting, either progressing existing reports or developing new items according to unit's needs.

Having regular strong engagement with the Business team, you will ensure challenge and decision at the working level.

Driving cost savings and tracking these, ensuring that progress is integrated into the forecast. Challenging financial process inefficiencies and assembling groups across Finance to make recommendations.

About you

Do you have significant post-qualification experience in Accounting and have Analyst level experience particularly in delivering profit improvements in a significant division/business unit.? In this role, you'll be well versed in providing regular finance support and reporting into key areas of a business as well as having demonstrable evidence of personally driving business improvement through financial analysis /process improvement.

As an excellent communicator (both written and verbal), you will be able to distil complex information into clear and simple messages and, with you'll have the ability and desire to manage, and gain experience in leadership and to create the effective supply of high value output.
