Job description

Our team is responsible for our transportation network's connectivity across Europe to deliver billions of shipments each year. We improve and optimize the way we model real operations in to our systems to scale on decision making through automations.
As a BI Engineer you will create and develop automations to improve our routing flow at EU/worldwide level. You will implement new logics to optimize our system's decision making and build pipelines to automate current processes. Multiple teams (finance, forecasting, SDE, analytics...) will interact with you as a cornerstone to integrate their business needs and flows into your work.

Responsibilities include:
• Be able to understand and become an expert on the different Amazon systems
• Find opportunities for optimization in current status quo and prioritize business needs
• Manage different stakeholders understanding their needs and integrating in your solutions
• Design E2E projects for problems providing hands off the wheel solutions
• Code complete pipelines using AWS infrastructure guaranteeing its robustness
• Implement solutions using the best technology possible
• Deep dive into data and issues to drive short term fixes and long term improvements
• Deliver results through extensive cross functional integration with multiple internal teams
• Drive and support large scale transportation programs
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders

The position is based in Amazon's European headquarters in Luxembourg, a city widely known for its beautiful setting, livability, and highly international population with foreign nationals making up over half of the population.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Math or other technical field
• 2+ years of experience in BI/data science field
• Python
• SQL
• AWS environment
• Strong stakeholder management capabilities
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team
• Proven analytical thinking with a natural tendency to use data in decision-making and prioritization

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Advanced or Master's degree in computer science/probability&statistics
• 4+ years of experience in BI/data science field
