Job description

Do you have a background within the insurance sector? Are you a driven self-starter with the sales ability to develop business within a leading specialist broker? Do you want to be part of a team that has experienced year-on-year growth and is focussed on a strategy for further long-term success? Willis Towers Watson is seeking a motivated Business Development Executive to be based in our London office.

The Role

You will manage a book of allocated prospects and leverage your own network of contacts to generate revenue. In return, you will receive a very attractive basic salary, bonus in line with revenue generation and a generous employee benefits package.

  • Execute sales goals by maintaining a sizeable book of business comprising complex or high-yield accounts by conducting frequent sales presentations, calls and meetings.
  • Apply highly developed market and internal service offering insights to sales cold calls - to engage potential clients, generate interest and schedule meetings or presentations.
  • Support and input into existing sales strategies and key Willis Towers Watson differentiators.
  • Help produce sales proposals, presentations and RFP responses which creatively and effectively address complex prospect needs.
  • Lead intricate account processes from the identification stage to closing; working alongside senior colleagues in pricing negotiations, facilitating product and expectation discussions and ultimately securing a beneficial financial outcome for the business.
  • Interface frequently with the potential or existing account representatives and stakeholders to ensure service satisfaction and uphold promises and general expectations.
  • Become knowledgeable in existing/new product-lines to cross-sell solutions to generate additional revenue.
  • Manage your CRM pipeline accurately.
  • Be a member of various professional and industry or regional organizations and attend conferences and relevant events to expand and maintain a large professional network, represent the company and gain exposure and insight.


The Requirements
  • Experience within the insurance sector is required.
  • Knowledge of Professional Liability.
  • Proven track record of Sales.
  • Desire to learn, and be involved in bespoke lines of business that may be initially unfamiliar.
  • Ability to work closely as part of a team.
  • Self-motivation and target driven.
