About the Department Energy Solutions design, install, monitor, maintain and optimise building control systems and are part of SSE's Distributed Energy division developing solutions for smart places - cities, campuses and non-domestic buildings. What are the opportunities? As part of our growth plans, we'll be looking to recruit BEMS Support and Commissioning Engineers across Northwest England to join SSE's energy optimisation division where you'll be at the centre of pushing to bring smart energy and smart building solutions to market.
As a Support Engineer, you'll undertake management and technical analysis of all BEMS HVAC systems on-site, providing accurate fault diagnosis and working with the engineering team to develop accurate remedial response to failures. As a Commissioning Engineer you'll be bringing systems to life in landmark projects as we work to shape buildings of the future.
As a minimum, you'll possess an HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry qualification. We're looking for people who have worked in the BEMS marketplace with strong technical acumen of system functionalities; a desire to bring commercial benefit to our customers (by using the BMS to reduce operating costs for example) and possess excellent service skills in order to engage with our clients.
