University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is a newly formed organisation following a merger between Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (WSHFT) and Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals Trust (BSUH) on 1st April 2021. WSHFT and BSUH have been working in partnership with a shared leadership team for four years leading up to the recent merger. The merger was a technical but important process for both WSHFT and BSUH which will ensure that the right leadership, structures, and governance are in place. About this vacancyThe Access Division is looking for highly motivated and enthusiastic people to work as Bank Appointments Clerk within our busy booking offices across St Richards, Worthing and Southlands.
This role will be working alongside our Waiting list clerks assisting them with booking of appointments, telephone appointments, cancellations and queries. Assisting the team with Docman referrals and taking calls from our call centre.
This is a challenging admin role working within an extremely busy department. The successful candidate will be expected to demonstrate the following skills: * have excellent interpersonal skills * demonstrate a flexible approach to working * be able to deal with anxious patients in a sensitive manner. * be able to operate effectively as part of a team or using your own initiative.
This is an Outpatients Appointments admin role, which will involve taking high levels of patient phone calls.
You will be supported by experienced staff whilst working as part of a team delivering a high quality service to patients and other departments within the hospital.
