In 2020, UEFA EURO will celebrate its 60th anniversary. To celebrate this milestone, the tournament will be played across 12 different European cities - bringing the EURO closer to the fans and celebrating the best of European football and culture. Glasgow as a host city, will stage four matches at Hampden Park and offer an exciting programme of activity through out the duration of the tournament. The Assistant Host City Project Manager will play an important role in the successful delivery of the host city activities. The post holder will be responsible for all aspects of coordination and ongoing implementation of the UEFA EURO 2020 host city project management processes.
Reporting to the Senior Event Manger, you will act as the Project's Team point of contact with internal and external stakeholders to provide project updates and reports, provide advice and support to the Project Team on the host city obligations to ensure all deliverables and milestones are met, manage the production and collation of status reports and monitor risk registers. You will be responsible for monitoring and managing budget lines and line management of the Project Coordinator.
To be successful in this role you have the following skills and experience:
Employment experience of Project or Event Management.
Experience of the operational and delivery elements of major events.
Budget monitoring experience.
Experience of managing large volumes of information and managing the relevant systems to implement.
Ability to communicate across agencies, government and hierarchies at all levels.
Ability to liaise with, understand and deliver the key requirements of the events industry, partners, sponsors and stakeholders.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present event concepts and proposals to small and large groups.
