About the Team EY's working capital team focusses on advising businesses on improving the effectiveness of their working capital processes and commercial arrangements, in order to free cash that is tied up on the balance sheet. The team advises businesses across a broad spectrum, including FTSE 100/ Fortune 500 businesses with global footprints, smaller local businesses and businesses with an urgent need to improve cash flow due to distress. In addition, the team has extensive experience advising PE Houses and their investee businesses.

About the Role As a Restructuring Assistant Director, you will take a senior role in all aspects of project delivery and business development in addition to contributing significantly to team management.
You will manage engagements by defining engagement scope, in consultation with the Director / Partner, and execute it, delivering to a high standard in compliance with our policies and protocols.

Experienced at analysing information/ data, to solve problems and formulate views and conclusions
Able to confidently present solutions, issues and findings in both a concise written and oral format
Experienced at providing detailed practical advice on overcoming business issues/ challenges, particularly the implementation of working capital opportunities
Good project management skills, with the ability to manage more than one assignment at a time and yet still demonstrate quality and consistency of performance in every task
Develop and maintain productive working relationships and manage the communication with day to day client contacts and senior project sponsors
Manage the financial aspects of engagements by preparing a budget, organizing resources, monitoring engagement economics and communicating the status to the project Partner / Director
Understand and manage all engagement risk requirements
Understand the capabilities of the firm, looking for opportunities to bring in other specialists and service lines to broaden engagements and achieve the best possible solution
Take a lead role in business development activities, leveraging internal and external contacts to identify and pursue potential new client engagements
Identify and pursue potential sell-on opportunities to broaden and extend live engagements
Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff
Act as an excellent role model to other team members. Recognise strengths and weaknesses in team members and provide counselling, advice and timely feedback
Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback for staff
Demonstrate effective delegation and the ability to influence and direct team members
Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal and technical skills
Demonstrable consulting experience on finance and operational performance, or in a role within industry leading on cash and working capital
Whilst not necessary, preferred candidates will have European language skills, experience of visualisation tools including Tableau and Spotfire, or hold a professional accounting qualification
