We're looking for an Application Solutions Architect to be responsible for the design and overseeing implementation of application and integration solutions in line with the enterprise architecture strategy.
As a prestigious organisation at the forefront of the government's efforts to help finance markets work better so that businesses across the UK can survive, prosper and grow, this high-profile position offers an Application Solutions Architect the opportunity to lead and introduce the overall technical vision and high-level application and integration designs.
You will participate in architecture governance forums, ensuring that all architecture activities and deliverables (in-house and outsourced) are produced to a high quality and are consistent with existing standards, policies, and strategies. You will present solutions for wider review and approval, modelling architectures using the TOGAF meta model within an architecture modelling tool.
You will conduct system architecture evaluations to define target state architectures and transitional roadmaps, ensure solutions are integrated with existing bank applications through APIs and integrations, review the design and code delivered by in-house and outsourced teams; ensuring it conforms to solution design, security standards, industry best practices and non-functional requirements.
Although your role will primarily focus on application and integration solutions, at times you may also have opportunities to work on other types of solution (such as infrastructure and data).

The successful Application Solution Architect will have excellent stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence other key stakeholders (business stakeholders, technical architects, software developers, third party suppliers), to reconcile technical and business considerations to arrive at the optimal solution.
We're looking for an individual who has experience of creating architecture solution visions and high-level solution designs, who is familiar working with in-house and outsourced delivery teams. You will have experience of Azure Integration Services, experience of designing Microsoft 365 and Azure based solutions and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies; CI/CD, Infrastructure-as-Code, DevOps etc.
