Job description

It's an exciting time at Experian working with clients to deliver outstanding customer value in a world where data is the new gold. An important role has become available in the Telco, Utilities & Public-Sector team to help support Experian's ambitious growth plans across our Nationals client base.

This is an individual contributor sales role who owns and manages the relationship and all sales activities into selected clients in the Public Sector within the UK. Responsible for the successful delivery of existing services and identifying and securing new business with these clients.

The Account Manager is responsible to achieve a trusted partner status with their key clients, ensuring successful delivery of existing contracted services whilst identifying and closing new business opportunities that grow and maximise revenue return for Experian.

• Leading the creation and continual development of a sales plan and strategy that ensures revenue targets are exceeded.
• Identifying new business opportunities and management of these through the sales pipeline process
• Working proactively with specialist resource across the business to ensure new business opportunities identified lead to successful closure, delivery and service management.
• Ownership and regular management of Salesforce.com data including customer contacts and weekly updates on opportunities (close date, value, sales stage and win probability).
• Develop a strong network of relationships at all levels with key clients and internally, to achieve business goals and delight clients.
• Responsible for the successful negotiation of contracts and agreements, leveraging the wider Experian commercial enablement teams as required.
• Responsible for accurate and timely reporting on sales performance, forecasts
• Become an expert within Public Sector, understanding market trends, competitive activity and driving thought leadership
• Facilitate and drive performance management processes
• Champion a culture where the fair treatment of customers is at the heart of the Experian business.

The successful candidate should have:

A proven track record in B2B selling of complex solutions - ideally within the public-sector market - managing client relationships whilst driving significant organic growth.

Experience in the Information Services industry preferred, with knowledge of Experian product and service portfolio an advantage
Self-motivation and leadership skills, the candidate is expected to bring energy and enthusiasm to the role with new ideas to develop business within the sector.

The ability to partner with clients, helping them meet their challenges through new and innovative Experian solutions

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong networking skills (Events, LinkedIn etc).

Proven ability to work within a virtual team environment.
Strong commercial acumen, able to work with our finance and legal colleagues.

Degree level qualifications or equivalent work experience.
