Location: Reading or London or Remote

Salary: £ based on skills and experience + commissions + car/cash allowance

About the Department


SSE Enterprise Telecoms operates a 13,700km private telecoms network, with 265 Points of Presence and connectivity to over 80 commercial data centres that span the UK. With its extensive telecoms engineering experience, the company provides commercial security with unrivalled in-house engineering resource to Service Providers, Large Enterprises and the Public Sector providing a competitive range of leading edge Ethernet, Cloud Connect, Optical Networking and Co-location services.

What is the Role?

We are looking for a highly successful and well established Account Director with a strong background in the Transport sector to join our dynamic and rapidly growing Telecoms company. You will be responsible for developing a sales pipeline of key Transport Sector clients, building strong relationships and bringing solutions to SSE's Telecoms customers. You will primarily be developing new business but there will be a component of overseeing existing customers.

You will collaborate with product management and marketing to ensure that the features, benefits, positioning, and pricing are thoroughly understood by target customers. Deal sizes can range from tens of thousands to multi million pounds and you will be expected to be comfortable working with customers across the spectrum.

What do I need?

You will be a confident and tenacious salesperson with a firm grasp on the UK Telecoms market; ideally with transport business development experience and a knowledge of current trends, competitor positioning, market dynamics and developments. You will have a good understanding of working within a large matrixed environment to deliver high value proposals and solutions to customers.

Knowledge of strategic selling strategies such as: Miller Heimann, SPIN, TAS, Holden or similar would be advantageous.
