Investing in the advancement of women is a key focus for JPMorgan Chase. That’s why we’re expanding our efforts on behalf of women inside and outside of the firm with Women on the Move. This is a global, firm-wide initiative that empowers female employees, clients, and consumers to build their careers, grow their businesses, and improve their financial health. Women on the Move is led by Samantha Saperstein and backed by the firm’s leadership team and Operating Committee – half of whom are women.
Women on the Move was born in 2013 from the efforts of two Operating Committee members, Marianne Lake and Mary Erdoes. Marianne and Mary, along with other leaders, kicked off a global listening tour to exchange ideas with female employees, identify the barriers to advancement and create meaningful change. The five-city tour grew to senior women hosting town halls in 23 cities around the globe and speaking to more than 6,000 women.
Our employees also participate in gender diversity initiatives through the Women on the Move Interactive Network, one of the firm’s many employee resource groups. This is a vibrant community made up of thousands of people across all levels and regions, who meet regularly for discussions, training, and networking opportunities.
The firm has since launched events and forged partnerships across the globe to enable female business owners’ success, to improve the financial health of women in our communities, and to continue to support our women employees. Through these efforts, we aim to make a positive impact in the communities we serve and create a more equitable world.
