Our team of Wellbeing champions roll out initiatives across all our sites. They offer ways to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of colleagues and can often be found leading ‘Mindfulness walks’ along the canal or maintaining our allotment.
Events have included:
Blood drive which recruited almost 30 volunteers to become donors
Comprehensive health checks for colleagues
A launch event which invited gyms, activities and lifestyle brands to participate and offer their services to PA Housing staff
World Kindness Day and Self Care Week initiative, which included manicures, at-desk massages, a food bank drive and 'random acts of kindness' chains
Blenders in each of the kitchens so people can make healthy smoothies
'Fun Fridays', which include massages, free fruit and an after work cinema club
Regular meditation, yoga and mindfulness walks
Free bread and butter in the kitchens for people who've not had time for breakfast!
Board games in the ground floor kitchen to be played over lunch breaks
Mental Health Champion training.
Free Zumba and Body Balance classes
Lunchtime (and occasional after work) mindfulness walks
Free fruit days
An allotment for staff to work on; creating beds, digging over, planting seeds and building a bug hotel and bird scarers
Lunchtime Wii session
Fun in the park during the summer months
After work cycle club during the summer months
