Wellbeing at HS2

We all know our health matters, as individuals when we consider our health and wellbeing, we often think about our diets, our exercise routines (or lack of them) or the last conversation we had with a doctor or nurse. We tend to overlook the place where many of us spend most of our time — at work. If work is good, it can improve our personal health and wellbeing, but the opposite is also true and it can have a negative impact on our wellbeing. 

We believe that good health has a positive effect on employees, employers and society as a whole. 

We provide the following Health & Wellbeing services:

  • Occupational health service which are made up of a team of impartial doctors, nurses, physical and mental health specialists who can support you if you’re trying to remain or return to work following illness or injury;
  • Mental health digital platform called the Big White Wall which is a completely anonymous social networking online community available 24/7. It provides peer to peer support, allows you to undertake clinical tests along with guided programmes and support to help you make a positive change. It’s a safe place to talk it gives you access to therapists and bespoke assistance programmes which can support you.
  • Physiotherapy Treatment Services where you can get advice on musculoskeletal issues or symptoms
  • An online wellbeing zone which allows you to create your own health dashboard, set goals and help you make some positive changes with support in the form of videos, blogs and information.  
  • A Health Kiosk where you have the ability to find out what your Blood Pressure, Body Mass Index, height and weight measurements are.  
  • Access to Mental health education & resilience programmes.
  • Mental Health first aiders who are volunteers within the business who act as a point of contact for individuals experiencing a mental health issue or emotional distress.
  • Health & Wellbeing champions who support and run health & wellbeing campaigns within the business.
