Informa supports colleagues to volunteer in their communities, and all colleagues can use up to two work days a year for volunteering.
It can be a great way of developing your skills, working with other colleagues and having a lasting impact on a particular community at the same time. Colleagues often say they feel re-energised when they return to work, and have learnt new things.
Our colleagues tell us that supporting charities is not only important to them but also a great way of developing their skills and working with other colleagues whilst giving something back.
Colleagues can volunteer with just about any charity or organisation, but we really encourage activities and opportunities where you share your skills and expertise with a charity.
This might be helping an organisation with hard skills – like marketing, design, finance, operations, IT, editorial – or with soft skills – like communication, leadership, co-ordination, organisation. Many charities are small and lack the resources that larger companies have, and particularly appreciate this type of support.
