It’s estimated that volunteering adds at least £20 billion value to the UK economy every year. Volunteers are in virtually every sector of society and here at NEAS we are keen to be part of this by building a thriving volunteer programme for people within the North East community to make a difference to the lives of people with autism.
We have a dedicated and robust recruitment and training programme designed to rapidly up skill volunteers to be able to undertake a number of opportunities which directly benefit the children, young people and adults we work with.
You benefit because you have the opportunity to:
Take steps towards a change of career
Use your time well in retirement
Give something back to the community
Improve your CV
Help raise funds
Get involved in something new and different
Make a difference for people with autism
We benefit because this enables us to:
Draw on the enthusiasm, skills and experience of individuals within the local community.
Enhance our existing services and support the work of the Society.
Add value to existing and new services.
Bring a unique approach to the work of the society.
We offer a range of volunteering opportunities enabling people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference to people with autism.
