Training & Development at Hogarth Worldwide

At Hogarth, we recognise that our people are the greatest contributors to our success, so we have implemented a talent development strategy to support the fact that ‘We want the best talent to reach their full potential at Hogarth.’ The L&D Framework focuses on skills and behaviours which are important to our current and future needs and has been designed to be flexible and adaptable to the changing needs of our business and our people.  

We have mapped training courses to each competency on the Framework and colleagues are able to enroll and complete this training through our Learning Management System, LUMOS.

LUMOS

LUMOS is our global Learning Management System, which we launched in March 2020.  LUMOS hosts all our learning content and includes access to the full LinkedIn Learning catalogue of almost 20 000 courses, masterclass content from Adobe on their Creative Cloud suite, as well as all the training content developed by various teams across the Hogarth business.  When colleagues first join they are automatically enrolled into a global employee onboarding programme, available in 6 languages which covers an introduction to the business, our technology tools, security awareness, as well as various governance and compliance modules.  LUMOS allows us to track training uptake and help monitor course effectiveness.

E-Learning Development

At Hogarth we follow an ‘eLearning First’ strategy which allows us to have the most scalability and effectiveness.  We have developed a number of in-house eLearning training courses and programmes to address technical and soft skills training needs.  We have also developed specialised technical training content for our clients in an eLearning format which allows training to be accessed at a time and place of their choosing.

Instructor-led training

Our key departments and geographic regions each have a dedicated Learning Services Business Partner assigned to help manage their unique learning needs.  Training can be delivered onsite but more commonly training sessions are managed by a trainer virtually, using tools such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Job Shadowing

New starters are encouraged to learn from colleagues on the job and are partnered with a buddy when they first join who offers them company insights.

Mentoring

This year we launched a global mentoring scheme where any colleague can request to be mentored.  As part of this scheme, experienced colleagues are also encouraged to volunteer and help more junior colleagues develop their careers further.

External Training

We also have discretionary local training budgets to cover the costs of external training by selected 3rd party vendors, where appropriate.  We have partnered with Corndel to offer a 13 month accredited Management Diploma to colleagues in the UK, and we are actively exploring similar schemes in our other markets.
