The Parent Support Network at the Foods Standards Agency

The network aims to support not only parents who have recently had children, but all parents in their career journey and as their children grow. 

It’s a collective voice for positive change and promotes inclusion for parents and targets preconceptions relating to gender, age or grade. The group is open to all staff, even those currently taking a period of leave, and provides a space to raise concerns, share triumphs and support each other with work/life balance challenges.

Through developing innovative ways of working and communicating with our organisation, the network aims to be a Civil Service leader when it comes to people’s experiences of coming back to work. They identify potential barriers to success for all parents and work together to address them.
