The HouseProud Pledge LGBTQ+ at PA Housing

The HouseProud Pledge is a scheme that all social housing providers can sign up to, to demonstrate their commitment to LGBTQ+ resident equality and support. It has been developed by HouseProud and the University of Surrey in association with residents, staff members and sector leaders to address the issues raised by the findings of 'No Place Like Home?', the largest study ever undertaken to understand LGBTQ+ experiences of social housing.

HouseProud Pledge Plus

The HouseProud working group is up and running, and we have agreed and set up an action plan which identifies how PA Housing plans to achieve the HouseProud Pledge Accreditation. All people within the business, regardless of their gender or sexual orientation, should have the ability to be heard and achieve their full potential. We are still looking to attract a more diverse pool of talent, both residents and staff, to help the working groups.

There have been many challenges getting the action plan off the ground. Now we plan meetings with staff and residents to help us obtain the Pledge Accreditation.
