Supporting Disabled Colleagues at Cambridge Assessment

We are proud of what we do to assist staff who have permanent or temporary disabilities, or other forms of ill-health or musculoskeletal disorders including:

Software – we purchase specialist software such as Dragon Naturally Speaking for those who visually impaired or who cannot type due to hand or arm issues; software which magnifies text on the screen; we are looking at software that can track eye or neck movements;

Ergonomic equipment – a range of equipment including mice & keyboards for staff who are experiencing musculoskeletal or other physical disorders; sit-stand desks for those staff who have back issues;

Personal Emergency Evacuation Plans for individuals with physical or other disabilities who may need a specific evacuation plan. This includes Evacuation chairs on all major staircases to ensure anyone can be evacuated in the event of an emergency.

Individual risk assessments to ensure reasonable adjustments are identified and recorded
