Employee Resource Groups at Norton Rose Fulbright

Our employee resource groups are core to our diversity and inclusion strategy. They are influential, and they are open to absolutely everyone. Join one and you will get to engage in positive changes that shape our working culture. You will also get to meet, and share experiences, with colleagues at all levels across the practice.

The networks contribute to our diversity and inclusion objectives in a number of ways:

 

  • Raising awareness of the diversity of our people and issues that some of our under-represented groups face
  • Promoting a culture of inclusion
  • Attracting diverse talent by contributing to the firm’s position as an employer of choice
  • Contributing to business development by providing opportunities to engage with our clients and potential clients
  • Providing members with a sense of affinity with the firm, creating opportunities to connect with colleagues and build personal and professional networks.

Our employee resource groups are aligned to the key themes we support:

 

  • LGBTI – ‘Pride’ aims to create an inclusive environment for all LGBTI employees
  • Faith – ‘Compass’ provides a forum for learning about Islamic faith, culture and business, and facilitates learning about other beliefs
  • Disability and mental health – ‘Shine’ supports our inclusive approach to disability, long-term health conditions and mental health
  • Gender equality – ‘WiN’ (Women in Norton Rose Fulbright) and ‘EarlyWiN’ supports the personal and professional career development of women of all levels within the firm
  • Flexibility – ‘Flex-ability’ supports the firm in becoming a more agile working environment and provides a forum to support flexible workers and their managers
  • Cultural and ethnic diversity – ‘Origins’ promotes ethnic and cultural awareness
  • Family – ‘Family Matters’ addresses issues affecting parents, grandparents, guardians and carers in the broadest sense
