Skip to main contentInclusion and diversity in the United Kingdom
We put inclusion & diversity at the heart of the way we work.
Equality drives innovation
We are committed to accelerating equality for all and to creating a work environment where each of our people feels like they belong.
We have an unwavering commitment to diversity. Each of our people should have a full sense of belonging within our organisation. As a business imperative, every person at Accenture has the responsibility to create and sustain an inclusive environment for all.
Inclusion and diversity are fundamental to our culture and core values. Our rich diversity makes us more innovative and more creative, which helps us better serve our clients and our communities.
ID, Empowered by Accenture
At Accenture, we believe in empowering each and every identity. Because, when we do, we start to build the truly diverse and inclusive world in which we all want to live. It’s why we’ve launched ID, Empowered by Accenture. It’s our commitment to equality. Our answer to inclusion and diversity. And our invitation to society to stand alongside us.
Creating new value: Our impact in the UK
In a time of unprecedented change, we face enormous challenges and extraordinary opportunities. It’s never been more important to combine human ingenuity and the power of technology to create solutions that drive positive impact.
MOBOLISE powered by Accenture
As part of our ongoing commitment to inclusion and diversity, Accenture has partnered with MOBO, one of the UK's most prominent voices for Black creative talent to create 'MOBOLISE’. Together, we have identified an exciting opportunity that can change the game for Black representation in creative and tech industries. 'MOBOLISE' will be a digital platform to connect Black talent with the best career opportunities, within the most forward-thinking organisations in the UK.
By supporting MOBO with this platform we can drive positive change to unite and uplift talent and help them activate, accelerate and advance their careers, along with the industry as a whole, from the ground up.
As the Founding Partner, we aim to connect our extensive ecosystem of UK clients and partners with the platform so they may engage, enrol and recruit from this talent pool, thereby strengthening our responsibility to the Black community and to help both parties overcome these key barriers.
We are taking action
Below is a link to a note that Olly Benzecry, our UKI Market Unit Lead, sent on 1st October 2020 to Accenture people in the UK that reaffirms our unwavering commitment to equality and justice for all, with zero tolerance for racism, bigotry and hate of any kind. We provide an update on the commitments we made in June: announcing new goals in the United Kingdom, mandatory training to identify and speak up about racism, and community investments to help drive change.
Black is…
We’ll remember 2020 for many reasons and one of them will be the renewed urgency around the world to stand up and stand together against racism. During our 2019 Black History Month event six of our people took to the stage to tell their personal stories about what being Black meant to them. This honest telling of individuals experiences was so powerful it had to be shared further. These films are part of Black Is, a six-film series where our people tell their stories at this crucial time. Through Black Is, members of Accenture’s African and Caribbean Network have teamed up with Black filmmakers, animators and crew from the creative industry to capture their experiences. Each film conveys the uniqueness of their individual spirit and backgrounds while illuminating moments that unite us all.
We hope you will help us raise awareness of Black experiences by watching and sharing these films about our extraordinary people.
Working to close the gender pay gap
The UK gender pay gap is a measure of financial gender equality that highlights any average-earnings disparity. To us, it is the path to eliminating gender pay gap in the UK and creating equality in the median average of men and women’s pay. It means setting our standards higher and saying, we can do better.
Accenture’s median gender pay gap in the United Kingdom is 9.8 percent, versus a UK-wide median of 17.3 percent across all companies.
