We recognise that people sometimes have specific reasons for wanting to take a break from work and that this can provide a life changing experience, focusing on childcare or other family responsibilities, pursuing a personal interest, to undertake a personal project or overseas travel. By offering this it enables them to return to work feeling refreshed and invigorated.
Career breaks are unpaid leave from the business, usually for a minimum of 3 months and no more than 12 months, after which employees would return to either to their current role or role of a similar nature.
Anyone who has been employed for 2 years continuous service may make a request for a career break.
