Skip to main contentOne of the main focuses of Teneo’s DEI strategy is to improve the experience at Teneo for ethnically diverse colleagues. We have signed the Race at Work Charter, and have appointed our COO as the Executive Sponsor for Race.
We aim to improve progression and representation by ensuring Black, Asian and colleagues of ethnically diverse backgrounds have equal opportunities and are supported to access these. This means having conversations about race and ethnicity in the workplace, offering bespoke opportunities for our ethnically diverse colleagues and helping all colleagues to become allies with respect to race and ethnicity inclusion.
These initiatives include a reciprocal mentoring programme whereby ethnically diverse colleagues mentor senior, white colleagues in the business. Teneo also participate in the Cross Organisational Mentoring Circles run by BITC, selecting 10 mentees and one lead mentor for this opportunity. Additionally, we are participating in the 10,000 black interns programme which aims to increase opportunities for black talent.
Our Multicultural Network is a group of employees that aims to help Teneo to foster a culture of belonging, respect and recognition of diverse cultures, races, ethnicities and religions. They are active in organising educational events for Black History Month and Windrush Day and making the diversity we have more visible.
Teneo is part of the Juneteenth Pledge, a global effort to rally the private sector to ensure that Juneteenth becomes a paid holiday in the United States with appropriate equivalent days observed in other markets. In the UK Windrush Day is our closest equivalent, and Teneo offices are closed this day in commemoration of this historic event.
