Pride Network at Starbucks

The Starbucks Pride Network is a partner run LGBTQ+ network set up to proudly cultivate an equitable, inclusive & dynamic environment for LGBTQ+ partners (employees), allies, and customers.  We are a relatively new network in the EMEA region, set up in August 2020, but have support from our global network in Seattle who have been around since the 90s.  We aim to be as inclusive as possible and reflect the voices or issues facing all those in the LGBTQ+ family.  Being a part of the network allows you to get involved in some of our organised activities and also contribute towards the agenda for our regular meetings, you may also wish to be part of our Steer co who take a more active role in the organisation of the network, which is great for your professional development also.

So far this year we have hosted monthly meetings open to all partners on various topics:

‘LGBT History Month’ in February,  looking at the history of LGBTQ+ activism.

‘Trans Day of Visibility’ in March,  supported by an external guest speaker helping us discuss gender and identity.

‘Lesbian Day of Visibility’ in April, l where we had an inspirational guest speaker from the community share their unique POV with us.

‘International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia & Transphobia’ in May, looking at the effects of Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia nationally and internationally.

In June each year we celebrate our Pride Heritage Month and provide a variety of events and resources for partners to engage with alongside their LGBTQ+ colleagues.
