People Networks at BT

A BT People Network is a group of like-minded people which come together to represent the views and issues of that group.

There are currently over 3,000 members across the 7 networks, which carry out the following:

• support network members
• celebrate the individuality of like-minded groups
• support the community
• drive an Inclusive BT organisation

The People Networks in BT are :

able2 – This is BT’s network for disabled employees. Provides support and advice for all disabled employees within BT and their managers. We also support several initiatives in this space.

Carers Network – Supports people within the company who have caring responsibilities. BT’s Carers Network aims to connect and support people within the company who have caring responsibilities.

Christian Network – BT’s network for Christians. This provides a central reference point on Christian information in BT. Provide a Christian perspective on business policy/strategies. Support & encourage Christians in BT.

Ethnic Diversity Network – BT’s network for all societal and cultural groups. Helps to provide support and development for ethnic minority people within BT.

LGBT+ – BT’s network for gay, lesbian, bisexual & transgender employees. This champions lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people in BT, so that they are valued and included so they achieve their full potential. Dan Fitz  is our inclusion and diversity role model who has mentored our LGBT+ network.

Muslim Network – Represent & raise awareness of Muslims within BT by supporting them and helping to improve their ability to do their job.

Each of the networks has a dedicated website which sits on the BT Academy where members can post thoughts, comments, information and have an online discussion with other members.
