PATH+ at Reed Smith

Our health and wellbeing offering PATH+, appeals to different groups of staff, through links to emotional, physical, nutritional, personal, environmental and financial wellbeing.

We ran 35 PATH+ events in 2015, from paediatric first aid through to sleep and nutritional awareness. The year ended with our third firm-wide stress awareness promotion, comprising a month-long programme of events around stress.

Our annual health, wellbeing and benefits fair further educated staff on the offerings, providing a fantastic visual reminder of how much Reed Smith cares about this area.

We also launched of an onsite GP, a long-awaited addition to the benefits programme, as well as a emergency childcare and eldercare through Bright Horizons.

We were listed in the top ten best legal employers in Legal Week’s Best Employers Report, with the firm ranking most highly for the physical office environment, client quality and work quality. As part of this survey, we asked what Reed Smith fee earners like best about the firm, responses included: “Positive culture and the way we do business”, “Excellent facilities and location”, and “Everyone from support staff to partner level [are] always happy to help.”

Last year, our London office continued to focus on engagement by reviewing and refreshing our team and office action plans, analysing the data obtained from The Sunday Times Best Companies survey and gathering feedback through our office-wide engagement committee.
