Nuffield Back to Health scheme at SSE

 
SSE have a great employee benefit available to all UK employees for those experiencing either anxiety, depression and stress (ADS) and/or musculoskeletal conditions (MSK) which are some of the most common reasons for long term sickness absence at SSE.
 
In partnership with Nuffield Health, the Back to Health scheme allows better support for employees across all business areas. The scheme gives employees who meet certain criteria access to counselling services for ADS or specialist care for MSK through Nuffield Health.
 
800 employees received ADS support through Nuffield Health between April and November in 2019. The average wait between referral and telephone assessment is 3 days, the average wait between telephone assessment and first appointment is 14 days.
 
515 employees received physiotherapy treatment through Nuffield Health between April and November in 2019. Each received an average of 5 physiotherapy appointments, but some received up to 14.
